I recently purchased old perfume samplers from a lady on Facebook Marketplace, and she mentioned that some of them were given to her when she was a teenager, with respect I'd guess she was in her 60s, beautiful and sweet.

It's the real-life potion to travel back in time.

I decided that I didn't have enough hobbies and got into perfume making.

This perfume oil was inspired by the 1950s.

Recipe

Ingredients:

Top Notes (Fruity & Fresh - Quick to Evaporate)

3 drops Tangerine

2 drops Bergamot

2 drops Sweet Orange

1 drop Grapefruit

Heart Notes (Floral & Powdery - Medium Wear Time)

4 drops Jasmine (slightly stronger for lasting floral scent)

3 drops, Rose

2 drops Gardenia

2 drops Violet (adds a soft, powdery vintage feel)

Base Notes (Long-Lasting & Fixative Ingredients)

3 drops Vanilla (warms and deepens the scent)

2 drops Sandalwood (adds creamy woodiness and longevity)

2 drops Benzoin (resinous, slightly sweet, acts as a fixative)

1 drop Patchouli (deepens and grounds the fragrance without overpowering it)

Next week we'll be entering March. Throughout my life, I've been asked the question " what's your favorite season" and for the longest time, I really couldn't say.

As I'm writing this, I can actually say that I'm extremely excited for spring to get here, but what excites me the most is the migration of ducks and birds. Each year we get (I'm pretty sure) the same couple of house wrens, they seem to really enjoy our backyard and feel safe enough to have babies.

I'm looking forward to long walks with my husband in pursuit of wildlife and nature photography, and of course, take Tucker for long walks.

I'm in my twenties, and I love birdwatching. Back in the days I used to think it was an activity for old people, well let me just say that my inner granny really appreciates this activity.

Enough about me.

You know what sometimes gets in the way of my creativity? Laziness. "Oh, I can do it another time, " "Well, I don't have what I need," "i don't want to buy things for ( hobby/craft, etc.", "I'm not motivated enough", "I don't have enough time."

I kept getting into this routine of always finding an excuse to push everything to a different day or wait till I get motivated enough. What I've noticed is that I get the best results when I don't feel motivated, yet I force myself to do that thing I've been putting off till later. The best crafts happen when I set the time from my busy schedule to do it.

Slowing down in life is what I strive for, I always look for peace and quiet and I often sit in silence to let my brain rest and help me create new ideas.

Just do that thing you're putting off, don't think about it, just start.
